Von dem selben Ereignis, aber aus völlig unterschiedlichen Gründen, werden der junge Schwule Rui (Nuno Gil) und Odete (Ana Cristina de Oliveira), eine atemberaubende Schöne aus der Nachbarschaft, aus der Bahn geworfen. Bei Rui kann man es nachvollziehen: Gerade noch hatte er seinen Lover Pedro (João Carreira) geküsst; Minuten später stirbt dieser bei einem Autounfall. Odete wiederum hatte eigentlich keine Verbindung zu Pedro – aber sie projiziert ihre Lebensmisere und ihre eingebildete Schwangerschaft so intensiv auf den Verstorbenen, dass sie sogar so weit geht, sich lasziv an dessen Grabstein zu reiben. Wie gesagt, eigentlich unmöglich das Ganze. Aber auch ein faszinierend starkes Stück. Und schließlich unwiderstehlich, wenn Odete beginnt, Pedros Identität anzunehmen und den hübschen Rui zu verführen, der bislang Zuflucht in ausgiebigem, anonymem Männer-Sex auf der Straße und in Saunen suchte...
